Manager Key Account Team Oncology – Hematology | Netherlands
Are you a strategic leader with a passion for oncology and team development? In this pivotal role, you will lead and coach a team of Oncology and Hematology Key Account Managers (KAMs) to execute the national commercial strategy for the Netherlands. You’ll combine inspirational leadership with hands-on strategic account management for your own cluster within the hematology portfolio.
As the primary interface for our oncology portfolio, you will drive customer engagement and create value by elevating our presence in the market. Reporting directly to the Business Unit Head Oncology, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership

Develop and execute the national key account strategy for the hematology brand, ensuring alignment with broader business goals and market access priorities.

Identify new business opportunities, analyze market trends, and steer the team to maximize brand uptake and revenue growth.

Maintain in-depth knowledge of the Dutch hematology landscape, healthcare systems, and customer insights including integrated care models, hospital networks, and pharmacy systems.
Team Management & Development

Lead, mentor, and support a high-performing team of Key Account Managers.

Foster a culture of collaboration, best practice sharing, and continuous improvement.

Be accountable for building the skills, mindset, and capabilities of the team, empowering them to be credible, value-adding partners for our customers.
Stakeholder Engagement

Establish and maintain strong, long-term relationships with senior stakeholders in hospitals, procurement bodies, and healthcare organizations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with internal stakeholders including marketing, medical, regulatory, and supply chain to ensure a coordinated and effective account strategy.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting

Track account and team performance, identify performance gaps, and implement corrective actions where needed.

Provide timely reporting on key KPIs, market insights, and strategic initiatives to leadership.
Compliance & Operational Excellence

Ensure full compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards in all activities and decisions.
Your Profile
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree
-
5+ years of account management experience
-
Proven leadership experience in sales or commercial functions
-
Strong relationship-building skills with both customers and internal stakeholders

Oncology/hematology experience
-
Track record of successful product launches
-
Strategic, resourceful, and data-driven decision-maker

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Highly accountable with strong problem-solving skills
