The Role

For our client, a dynamic and agile, family-owned pharmaceutical company with a strong presence in the Benelux region we are looking for a Business Manager Netherlands.

As the Business Manager Netherlands, you will take full ownership of the Dutch operations. This is a strategic leadership role that blends commercial vision, operational execution, and team development. You will be the driving force behind growth, innovation, and market positioning in the Netherlands, reporting directly to the COO Benelux.

This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who thrives in a hands-on environment, enjoys autonomy, and is ready to make a tangible impact. You ll lead small cross-functional teams across marketing, medical, sales, and customer service, and be responsible for the full business cycle from market analysis and brand strategy to execution and performance management.
 

Key Responsabilities:

  • Lead the strategic development and revenue growth of the Dutch portfolio, aligned with the company's broader objectives;
  • Analyze brand positioning and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities;
  • Translate consumer insights into actionable brand strategies;
  • Develop and implement integrated sales, marketing, and medical plans;
  •  Monitor and report campaign performance (ROI, KPIs) and optimize accordingly;
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders: wholesalers, insurers, pharmacy chains, GPs, pharmacists, and KOLs;
  • Set up advisory boards and sounding boards to gather market intelligence;
  • Drive sales force and MSL effectiveness through clear metrics and coaching;
  • Ensure budgeting and planning for all relevant products;
  • Define and communicate SMART objectives and KPIs across the organization;
  • Lead, support, and develop the Dutch team to enhance performance and engagement;
  • Provide strategic input on new product opportunities and market potential;
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with QA, regulatory, and supply chain teams;
  • Play an active role in New Business Development for the Dutch market.
     

Your Profile

You are a results-driven leader who thrives in a lean, agile environment. With a strategic mindset and a hands-on approach, you know how to turn vision into action. You lead with integrity, courage, and clarity motivating teams, making timely decisions, and navigating challenges with perseverance and analytical precision.

 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field;
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry;
  • Proven leadership experience in a senior commercial role;
  • Strong network within the Dutch pharma and healthcare ecosystem;
  • Solid understanding of reimbursement, pricing, and CGR regulations;
  • Fluent in Dutch and English.
