Join a medical publishing and marketing communication agency as the Head of their Medical Department. You will be responsible for leading a team of 4 medical academics, 2 DTP-ers and 3 magazine managers. Guide your colleagues in writing medical texts for diverse publications, digitally and in print. Check articles for correct facts and improve content, structure, and writing style. 

Be the one to plan productions, particularly those that are sponsored. Decide who will be responsible for tasks in the team and delegate the new projects. Stick to major deadlines by managing and coordinating the team with a long-term schedule. The primary projects will be ad hoc assignments from the pharmaceutical industry. 

Your responsibilities

Your tasks: 

  • You handle medical writing dealing with more complex medical texts aimed at medical specialists in the field of oncology, haematology, or neurology. 

  • You help devise content in cooperation with physicians for e-learnings and webinars and physical refresher courses. 

Are you a medical PhD who is extroverted, communicates easily and is a self-starter who can solve problems on their own? Are you someone who can also be accurate with writing and checking medical texts at the specialist level? If so, send in your application as soon as possible! 

Job requirements


  • PhD medical education. (Medical biology, health sciences, pharmacy, medicine) 

  • A cooperating supervisor, not a director/official who delegates everything.  

  • Speaking and writing in Dutch and proficient in English. 

  • 3 or more years in a relevant position with leadership experience or potential to lead in character.  

  • 32 hrs per week (- up to 40 hrs p week is also possible).
