We are looking for a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join our team in Europe. The MSL works as member of our medical/scientific team and is responsible for supporting the medical affairs strategy execution, with a strong focus on the companies commercial activities in the BeNeLux/other regions as assigned. This individual will function, in part, as a company spokesperson and subject matter expert on medical data, clinical programs and clinical trials that require clinical/medical translation.

The MSL identifies and develops relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and highly accomplished physicians whose views on breast cancer treatment tend to influence other doctors. Provides detailed knowledge of the organization's new/current products and services. Distributes scientific information and resources to the KOLs. Assists in the development and integration of research initiatives and product and customer strategies. The MSL helps facilitate the ongoing activities of medical communications, clinical trial functions and the medical marketing programs. The MSL participates in the planning and implementation of medical marketing, clinical registry programs and customer service functions aligned to the strategic business needs of the company. In addition, the MSL helps represent the company at sales meetings, conferences, client clinical presentations and patient advocacy functions. The MSL assists in the analysis and preparation of clinical trials and registry data for abstract development and formal presentation, as well as assist in the preparation of peer-reviewed manuscripts of scientific and medical data for publication.

Functie eisen

o Advanced degree (PharmD, MD, PhD or equivalent) with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Oncology. Solid tumor experience preferred.

o A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a MSL or comparable industry or clinical role (customer facing)

o Experience in the presentation and/or interpretation of scientific or clinical research publications.

o Experience in establishing strong, collaborative working relationships with internal stakeholder functions (Sales, Marketing, Regulatory, R&D) and external customers

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

o Knowledge of geography and key opinion leaders preferred

o Excellent verbal & written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills

o Understanding of regulatory requirements for field-based personnel

o Ability to collaborate with internal colleagues in sales, marketing, and managed care accounts

o Ability to summarize complex scientific information and present in a clear, concise, confident, and scientifically accurate and balanced manner to a range of audiences across various modalities (1:1, video, group presentations, etc.)

o Ability and willingness to travel at least 50% of workdays required

o Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel skills required

o Ability to work independently while adhering to Medical Affairs strategic direction

o Ability to anticipate, organize and plan multiple changing priorities

o Knowledge of relevant healthcare systems, medical landscape, regulatory and payer environment, public health, and industry trends

o Fluent in Dutch, English – additional French is a plus
